The 5th. & 11th. LHRs have been disbanded and the 2nd. & 14th. LHRs have been combined into one Regiment

Queensland Mounted Infantry Historical Troop Inc provides historical expertise for displays, lectures and school visits. The Troop also works closely with the 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment (QMI) Museum, Enoggera, often staging displays together, sharing expertise and knowledge.
