The upgrade of equipment will enhance our quality of sound by providing a standand range of matched instruments. It will aslo provide a basis for establishing our drum corps and thus expand our capability as a marching band. The way our bands are presented on stage will be enhanced with matched and more suitable music stands Equipment purchases - 1. Purchase 4 X cornets and 1 X euphonium 2. Purchase 5 X marching snare drums 3. Purchase 10 X music stands The grant will also provide for a recording session and manufacture of a new CD which will focus on our Musical Hertitage and relate to Queensland's 150th Birthday. The feature will be a re-recording of Clyde Collins' "Sunshine State" which was written for the Queensland 100th Birthday. Other music reflecting the unique style of our band will also be included. QSHBA gratefully acknowledges the financial assistance provided by Queensland's GCBF, without which the above would not yet be possible
